Mutual Fund Style
Mutual Fund Style: The style of a fund represents the category in which the fund falls.
The word "style" in the investment world has a lot of meanings, such as:
- Investment advisor style - the investment methods of a manager that are applied for the successful accomplishment of the financial objectives.
- Investor's style - in this context the style can be qualified as passive, aggressive and so on.
Some of the fund styles are: small growth, mid cap value, large blend, emerging markets, international growth and short term corporate bonds.
For instance, Mary has decided to invest in a small growth mutual fund, but she is still hesitating whether this fund style is right for her needs.
